Blue False Indigo

It’s close to 90 degrees fahrenheit today and I got out and watered all the new plants using rain barrel water and two watering cans before it got too crazy.  The older plants are all growing well and blue false indigo and columbine are blooming, prairie smoke and pasque flowers are pretty much done and a lot of the other plants will be blooming soon.  Everything in the two and three-year old parts of the garden are definitely a lot larger than they were a month ago.  The new plants are growing too, but in the first year, I never expect much from them.

Looks beautiful! I’m sure it’s a lot of work, but the payoff is great! Even with neglect, my plants seem to be hanging in there.
